Comfort factor – Others can sense it just as well as you can!

It’s not so much about looking good as it is about feeling great. And for getting there you need to be absolutely comfortable with your appearance – and that includes your clothes, shoes, accessories, hair and make-up. Coz, if you are not, it comes across blatantly and everyone around you will notice immediately! Read on to learn how you can be absolutely comfortable with your looks all the time…

Know your body

There might be a million things that look great on……a mannequin – do you stop to ask, will it look as good on me?

Trust me – everyone looks great when they exude confidence irrespective of their attire. And confidence comes with having the right body image. Emphasize your assets but be aware of your flaws. Nobody’s perfect. But, the trick lies in camouflaging your weaknesses such that you look perfect…. Well, almost 😉

Create your own style

If you are not sure about your looks, you will feel awkward and this will be reflected in your demeanor. Then, no matter how expensive the halter top is, if you think you don’t have a great back, it’s not going to seem right on you.

So, instead of desperately trying to be fashion forward, buy and wear things that you are sure about. Everyone can’t dress up like runway models. It’s neither possible nor desirable. So, your aim should be to look great in your own way.

Create your own style. Don’t ape your best friend who, according to you, has the perfect figure. Things may not necessarily look the same on both of you.

Wanna look great? It’s easy – You just need to know the right tricks

I, for one, firmly believe that anyone can look great irrespective of their size or shape. You just have to know what to wear and how to wear it.

For instance,

If you have a small waist but are bottom heavy, skinny jeans would be the most unflattering thing you can do to your body. Try wrap dresses that emphasize the thin waist or A-line skirts that pulls attention away from your thighs/ hips.

If you are someone who has always worn flats but have a secret longing for heels, start with chunky heels not more than 3-inches instead of 6-inch stilettos. You cannot graduate from a college without attending high-school. Practice walking in them at home and get comfortable before venturing out. But, before you’ve gotten there, if you want to dress up for a night out, you can look equally great in metallic flats!

If you feel the flashy lip color doesn’t go with your personality, you are probably right. If you end up wearing it anyway, you are going to feel so self-conscious that everyone will sense it instantly. Male-up is to enhance your beauty not mar it. Similarly, just because your friend looks great in straight hair, doesn’t mean you give up your sexy curls!

Knowledge is half the battle won. Know your strengths and weaknesses and then play around with clothes, shoes, accessories, hair and make-up to highlight your strength and deemphasize your weaknesses.

What are you waiting for? Go dazzle!

  1. Like, when I am having a bad hair day, I keep fidgeting with my hair all the time and I feel everyone is staring at me for the wrong reasons. I just cannot concentrate on anything.
